Bundesbank: Citizens in Germany are getting richer again
The Bundesbank announced that German citizens are generally getting richer again.
The bank stated today in Frankfurt that the financial wealth of households rose in the first three months of this year compared to the previous quarter by 146 billion euros, to reach about 7393 billion euros.
The bank stated that the recovery that began in the last quarter of 2022 continued in the first quarter of 2023
Bank accounts in these figures include cash, securities, bank deposits and claims against insurance companies, but not real estate.
The bank indicated that the gains in stock exchange prices had a significant positive impact on increasing financial wealth. The data does not show the exact distribution of wealth by German.
