Completion of the implementation of 252 projects in 3 centers in Aswan Governorate within the first phase of “A Decent Life”

Dr. Assem El-Gazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, stated that the Central Agency for Reconstruction, which is affiliated with the Ministry, and through the Agency for the Development of Southern Upper Egypt, has completed the implementation of 252 projects in 3 centers (Kom Ombo – Edfu – Nasr El Nuba) in Aswan Governorate, within the projects of the first phase of the initiative. These centers include 31 local units with 100 villages, distributed as follows: (9 local units with 26 villages in Kom Ombo Center – 13 local units with 31 villages in Edfu Center – 9 local units with 43 villages in Nasr Center Nubia.

The Minister of Housing indicated that the ministry, through the Central Agency for Reconstruction, is implementing the targeted projects in 25 centers in 10 governorates, and includes 741 villages and their dependencies, as part of the first phase of the presidential initiative “a decent life” to develop the Egyptian countryside, and includes the establishment of citizen service complexes, Agricultural service complexes, the establishment, upgrading and development of youth centers, bridges over waterways, health facilities, ambulance points, social solidarity services facilities, electricity and public lighting projects, roads, in addition to construction projects for “decent housing” buildings for citizens.

Major General Mahmoud Nassar, head of the Central Agency for Reconstruction, said: The projects planned and currently being implemented in Aswan Governorate, within the presidential initiative “A Decent Life”, include development and strengthening of electricity networks and public lighting in 98 villages, to improve services provided to citizens, as the works have been completed and the current has been released in 30 villages. (14 villages in the center of Edfu – 6 villages in the center of Kom Ombo – 10 villages in the center of Nasr al-Nuba), and work is underway in 68 villages, with completion rates ranging between 50 and 95%, explaining that coordination has been made with the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy to determine the electricity works required in the villages, including Rehabilitation of existing medium-voltage networks by replacing worn-out ones, changing overhead transformers into transformers inside sheet kiosks or rooms, raising transformer capacities to match actual loads, changing medium and low-voltage cables to match actual loads, rehabilitating existing low-voltage networks by replacing worn-out ones, and raising efficiency Overhead lines network and change what is needed, in addition to public lighting works.

He added: The electrical works that have been and are being implemented include the following: the supply and installation of 13 medium-voltage distributors, the construction of 12 buildings for them, the supply and installation of 68 medium-voltage cells, 288 ring-linking panels, 151 medium-voltage pneumatic knives, 512 medium-voltage poles, and 162 tons. Medium voltage connectors, 967 transformers of different capacities (100 kVA: 1000 kVA), 1109 empty transformer booths of different capacities (100 kVA: 1000 kVA) with the necessary accessories, and 1405 km Medium voltage cables, 311 km low voltage cables, 33352 low voltage poles, 3440 km low voltage connectors, and 18702 lighting fixtures with the necessary accessories.

The head of the Central Agency for Reconstruction stated that the implementation of 30 complexes of services for citizens has been completed, out of a total of 31 complexes, which are implemented at the level of local units, and provide 7 services to citizens, which are (civil registry – real estate registration – post office – supply office – social solidarity office – unit Local – local council), and a technological center through which services are provided to the public, saving time and effort. The implementation of 24 complexes for agricultural services, out of a total of 31 complexes, has been completed at the level of local units to provide service to the rest of the villages and dependencies, and includes (a veterinary unit – An agricultural association – a dairy collection center – an guidance center) to contribute to the development of these villages, in addition to the completion of works with 67 youth centers (establishment – replacement and renovation – development and raising efficiency), out of a total of 158 centers, and these centers include playgrounds, green spaces, and cafeterias , children’s play area, and a building for sports activities, which includes (nursery – library – gym – games room – activity halls).

Major General Mahmoud Nassar pointed out that the “decent life” projects in Aswan Governorate also include the establishment and development of 32 ambulance points, to improve ambulance services provided to citizens, and 23 of them have been completed, and 70 bridges over waterways (construction – replacement) have been completed. and renewal – development and expansion), out of a total of 74 bridges, in coordination with specialists from the Ministry of Irrigation, in order to achieve the implementation of the required works, and not to affect the waterways with these works, and the bridges achieve the required link between parts of a single village and between villages and some of them, in addition to completing the implementation of 4 projects out of a total 19 projects to establish and raise the efficiency of (social units – centers for family development – a social rehabilitation center), as part of social solidarity projects.

The head of the Central Agency for Reconstruction stated that the implementation of 23 residential buildings has been completed in 4 villages of the “Karim Housing” project (6 buildings in the village of Fares in the Kom Ombo center – 6 buildings in the village of Arab Kima in the Kom Ombo center – 8 buildings in the village of Edfu Kebli in the center Edfu – 3 buildings in the village of Oniba in the Nasr Al-Nuba Center), and the rest of the residential buildings are being implemented in 6 villages in the governorate, in addition to the works of establishing and raising the efficiency of the road network within the villages, and between villages and some of them, to facilitate the movement of citizens, ease of access to services, and contribute to the development of villages. Starting work after the completion of the implementation of utility networks in these ways.
