Cooperation between the National Authority for Governance and the Central Auditing Authority in the field of human capacity development
The National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development, the training arm of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, represented by Dr. Sharifa Sharif, Executive Director of the Institute, signed a memorandum of understanding with the Central Auditing Organization, represented by accountant Ahmed Saeed, in his capacity as acting agent of the agency for central administration affairs of the General Secretariat for joint cooperation in the field of supporting building and developing human capacities, governance, sustainable development and digital transformation.
Following the signing of the memorandum of understanding, Dr. Sharifa Sharif referred to the development of the establishment of the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development, and its role in spreading awareness on various issues, especially governance, sectoral governance and digital transformation through the various training programs it offers in partnership with many distinguished educational institutions internationally and locally, in addition to its role in the field of consulting and research, in addition to its supervision of many projects related to digital transformation at the state level.
She stressed the importance of measuring the training impact and benefiting from the results of this measurement in developing training materials, in addition to following up the learners after graduation from the training programs and monitoring the impact of training on the development of their performance.
Sherif touched on the objectives of implementing good governance represented in transparency, accountability, responsiveness to the citizen and the application of the law, and the role of the Institute in raising awareness and training on how to apply good governance in various government institutions, stressing the importance of linking governance and the international goals of sustainable development, pointing to the role of the Institute in monitoring Egypt’s position in the various indicators of governance, which number 22 indicators and mechanisms for raising Egypt’s status in these indicators.
The areas of cooperation between the Institute and the Agency, in accordance with the memorandum of understanding, include the development and development of human capabilities and advisory services. To achieve the objectives of the memorandum, the two parties will carry out several activities, including holding seminars, courses, training programs and workshops, exchanging visits of delegations between the two parties, exchanging trainers and researchers to carry out training and research activities, in addition to exchanging information, publications, training materials, scientific publications and electronic software.
