Delivering letters to 22 black honey juicer owners to develop production lines in Qena Governorate

Within the framework of cooperation between the Industrial Modernization Center and the Local Development Program in Upper Egypt to implement the plan to develop the treacle cluster in Qena Governorate, and based on the mandates of His Excellency the President of the Republic to pay attention to the development of small heritage industries, and the plan prepared to develop and raise the efficiency of treacle juicers to be a role model in the economic blocs that have begun It is spread at the governorate level.

Letters were delivered to 22 juicer owners to develop the production lines, starting from pressing, passing through the production process, and ending with the storage and packaging basins, in the presence of the Governor of Qena, Major General Ashraf Al-Daoudi, the Executive Director of the Center for Industrial Modernization, Doaa Salima, and the Director of the Local Development Program in Upper Egypt, Dr. Hisham Al-Helbawy. The Industrial Modernization Center worked as the implementer of development interventions on many axes, starting with raising awareness of the importance of development to increase production rates, including preparing an approved standard specification for black honey with the General Authority for Standardization and Quality, codifying the conditions of juicers, studying the conditions of juicers and preparing a booklet with the most important requirements for compliance with ISO requirements. 22,000, and also based on the directives of His Excellency the Minister of Commerce and Industry regarding the importance of deepening local manufacturing, the center communicated with a number of local manufacturers to manufacture production lines based on the required requirements.

The Executive Director of the Industrial Modernization Center confirmed that the Ministry of Trade and Industry, represented by the Center, and in cooperation with Qena Governorate and the Local Development Program for Upper Egypt, is working hard to advance this historical industry, to bring it, after its development, to the forefront and make the product compete globally and become among the most prominent exports in Egypt.

During the meeting, a simulation model for developing production lines was presented by one of the companies submitting a tender to design, supply and install production lines in juicers.

A field tour was conducted for a number of juicers that will be developed within the work plan, in order to determine the implementation of the actual plan for developing the juicers.
