Russian health reveals the death toll in the Zagorsk factory explosion, on the outskirts of Moscow
The Russian Ministry of Health announced the outcome of the Zagorsk Optical Technical Factory explosion, in the city of Sergiev Posad, on the outskirts of Moscow.
The ministry’s statement read: “As a result of the accident that occurred on the (grounds) of the factory, 80 people were injured, and one person died. While 56 of the injured were treated in outpatient clinics, and 8 people have already left hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical care.”
He added, “At the present time, there are 15 patients in treatment centers.”
And the Russian Ministry of Health continued: “Thus, 13 injured people are in the central local hospital in the neighborhood, and the condition of 3 of them has been assessed as very serious, compared to 10 of them of moderate severity.”
Another person was transported to the Mytishchi District Central Hospital.
In addition, the injured were transferred to the National Center for Brain and Neurosurgery “Burdenko” of the Russian Ministry of Health.
The Ministry of Health stressed that “all those injured in the accident receive the necessary medical care in full.”
It is noteworthy that a huge explosion was recorded in the aforementioned factory, on Wednesday, as investigations indicated that it occurred in a fireworks warehouse, which was rented by a private company inside the factory.
