Saudi Arabia chaired the meeting of the Arab Competition Network
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia chaired the first meeting of the second session of the Working Group for the Enforcement of Competition Protection Laws of the Arab Competition Network.
Where it witnessed a wide participation of representatives of competition agencies in the Arab countries through video communication. This meeting aims to enhance cooperation between Arab countries within the framework of competition protection systems. During the meeting, many issues related to the enforcement of competition protection laws were discussed, and ideas and experiences were exchanged among the participating Arab countries. This comes within the framework of joint efforts to strengthen the rules for protecting competition and ensuring a fair and competitive market.
The General Authority for Competition in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia stressed the importance of these meetings with sister countries, to enhance cooperation and understanding between Arab countries in this important and vital field, to protect competition in the region, and to achieve the welfare of the Arab consumer.
